A Night of Tia Gostelow

In the heart of Fitzroy, Tia Gostelow has landed at everybody’s favourite live music venue on the corner of Johnston St, The Night Cat Melbourne. Filled for a night of tulle twirling and magic ahead of them, we welcome an incredible Indigenous Australian singer-songwriter to take the spotlight for a night to remember.

Under the lamps of a glistening moonlight stage, artists Howlite and Holly Hebe took centre stage to play their hearts out to the audience. With soft ballads in every second piece followed by an anthem from a guitar or synthesizer too, you could feel a sense of belonging and love among the crowd. A warmth, a grace, an edge, it felt harmonious and like a scene of a coming-of-age movie.

People of all ages came through the doors slowly by the night, bringing a friend or a lover along for a night of alternative and indie goodness. Her band members left the crowd cheering on for tonight’s main star, Tia Gostelow to take the spotlight. Having released her third studio album, ‘Head Noise’, this record left a heartfelt connection among her listeners. Comforting, swaying to the rhythm and smiling to the voice of an angel.

Speaking on her feelings of heartbreak, grief, loss and uncertainty, Tia bounced her energy from one step to another embarking on songs old and new. Some of the crowd’s most memorable favourites include ‘Early Twenties’, ‘I’m Getting Bored Of This’ and ‘Like You Better’. Along with the highlights of a black twirling tulle dress, Tia continued to bring along some familiar faces to the stage including Holly Hebe to perform a duet in a matter of time.

It felt timeless, and devoted and the way they project their musicality to the world filled the room with endless smiles and brought everyone into a world full of imagination. Colours of orange, blues and pinks in the air, a dreamy and effortless performance from the two angels of indie music brought a harmonious gathering in the audience.

I can’t wait to see what Tia continues to play on her ‘Head Noise’ Album Tour among other states within Australia supported by triple j and Psycho Touring. Playing in cities till the start of November in locations including Sydney, Brisbane and Maroochydore.
