At the heart of the Northcote Social Club, we got the chance to interview a very talented alt-rock artist all the way from New Zealand named ratbag (Sophie Brown) for her f show in Melbourne, Australia. 

When I first interviewed GOODFRND at the start of Unraveled Edit, I knew right away that he had something special. His raw, unapologetic lyrics and unique sound were impossible to ignore. Fast forward a year, and GOODFRND is back with a whole new vibe, kicking things off with his latest single, Frustrated.

Their energetic, indie-pop sound has kept the energy high throughout the album with hits including ‘Call Me Up’, ‘Every Night’, ‘Save The Planet’, ‘Secrets’ and ‘Ride’.

Having recently released his single ‘Hello Lonely’, Alfie shares how the song explores “checking in with yourself”. For Templeman, he used to think that the last two years had been “Radio silence in the forefront” but looking back, to be quite “busy”. Linking back to reflection, ‘Hello Lonely’ unfolds how much life had changed for Alfie in that time.

This name may ring a bell to you. After a two-year creative break, Harper Bloom has returned with new music. The queer indie-pop artist had some great indie-folk hits that audiences loved throughout 2021, however, Bloom has come back with a more curated sound in her single ‘All The Kids’.

‘i don’t wanna be here’ is a raw and empathetic introduction to Charlie Pittman, the singer/songwriter releasing their first single and I had the lucky opportunity to chat with him ahead of his performance with Drax Project in Sydney and a headline show in London.
