Ruby Rodgers Is The Sound Of A New Generation In Debut EP ‘Crisis’
MUSIC EDIT
From playing shows in a van for almost nobody to becoming one of the most influential producers, songwriters, and creatives of his generation, Jack Antonoff has never stopped chasing the same feeling.
Just days after the release of Bleachers’ latest album, everyone for ten minutes, we sat down with Jack to discuss New Jersey grit, creative freedom, Electric Lady Studios, the pressures of modern music culture, and why making honest art matters more than ever in an increasingly algorithm-driven world.
From the stories behind tracks like the van, dirty wedding dress, and i’m not joking to the challenge of staying connected to your creative instincts, our conversation explored why Bleachers remains the purest expression of who Antonoff is, and why the pursuit of something real continues to drive everything he creates.
Rachael Fahim is not sure why 2026 is the time for her debut body of work Who You Are to be out in the world, but the stars have aligned and she is ready to make a whole bunch of new friends.
Having been dedicated to her craft for over a decade in the country scene, Rachael Fahim has steadily built an impressive career. She was named the winner of the Toyota Star Maker competition at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2017, has scored six number one Australian Country Radio singles, performed to thousands across the country, and most recently received the APRA Music Award for Most Performed Country Work for her single Who You Are.
There’s a quiet defiance running through jnr.’s debut EP i’ve been looking for you my whole life. (released March 18). What began as a project to create a collection of love songs written abroad in his partner’s home country of France, slowly transformed into something a little different… a documented journey where jnr. is coming to terms with his identity and the uneasy process of learning how to belong.
LIVE
A long line of excited fans wrapped around The Forum on the evening of Wednesday 20th May. Attendees dressed up in bright colours and patterns, many donning tiaras, and a few committed with clown and star costumes - setting the scene for Audrey Hobert’s ‘The Staircase to Stardom Tour’.
It was the night of Valentine’s Day 2026, a scattering of individuals, couples and groups making their way into The Northcote Social Club for a night of unmissable local talent, and most importantly it was Daezy’s launch event for their new EP ‘Take It From Me’.
Returning after their highly successful first ever Australian tour in 2024, The Band CAMINO, swung by the Forum to deliver a show stopping night of electrifying melodies to an audience that screamed them back.
REVIEWS
It’s the start of a new September season, and what better way to kick off a new EP - “Analysis Paralysis” by everyone’s favourite headline Australian artist MAY-A. One of the most influential rising artists who has worked with international music sensations 5 Seconds Of Summer, Flume and Wallows, MAY-A continues to be a leading force in the music industry since her debut EP “Don’t Kiss Ur Friends” back in 2021.
Worried that there have not been enough big releases from local artists recently? Well, fear not. Enter G Flip, one of Australia’s surprise musical hot properties, and their new album, the appropriately titled Drummer. I confess I knew relatively little about the Naarm / Melbourne singer & drummer when I started this review. Happily, however, that means we’re working with a blank slate, so this album can be judged more accurately on its merits in a vacuum.
Typically here at Unraveled, we like to cover (relatively) new releases, giving you a deep dive into what’s what in the local and international music and fashion scenes. This review is going to be a little different though - it’s more of a tribute to a criminally underrated and almost totally obscure album. 0151 is the debut LP of Liverpool-based indie rock group The Night Cafe, which was released in 2019.
LISTEN
Spacey Jane’s ‘If That Makes Sense’ album is a true masterpiece. From the moment the intro seamlessly flows into the album, you know that the listening experience is going to be exceptional.
